The second grade Heritage projects!

Sophia Moore

The second graders are working on their heritage projects and they are creating slideshows about their personal heritage. I interviewed Roshki, the second-grader about her Indian heritage. She talks about how her religion honors cows and rarely eats beef to honor them. Roshki said… “Sari’s are no gowns and many people think they are,” Roski goes on to describe the type of Sari’s her mom has. Evelyn is from Turkey and has discovered that Santa Clause is from there. She also discovered that hair dryers and ATMs were invented there. These projects are so fun and interesting, I can’t wait to see the final result.
