Middle school students are creating a film on a given topic. Me and Olivia interviewed people about their project and how it can impact the community. Brianna Garner, an 8th grade girl, said this about her project on animals and how they affect your mental health “when you feel alone and depressed, the pet is there for you, to keep you company, therapeutic dogs are there for mental health” Sevan Karageozian, an 8th grade boy had this to say about his project on light pollution “Light pollution can increase sleepiness to people, making them more tired, you cannot see stars and galaxies at night.” Sophia Moore stated about her documentary regarding addiction to social media “50% of teenagers are addicted to social media, the average screen time for teenagers in the US is 9 hours”. In summary, this middle school PBL project will be full of wonderful ideas, and we as a CRA community cannot wait to see them!
