The iconic Olympic flame lighting ceremony in Greece was closed to the public Thursday morning amid fears over COVID-19. With the games less than four months away, some are concerned about what the global pandemic could mean for no 2020 summer Olympics. President Donald Trump thought that the 2020 Summer Olympics in Tokyo should be postponed for one year amid the corona virus outbreak. He said “I like that better than I like having empty stadiums all over the place”. And “If you cancel it, do it a year later. That’s a better alternative rather than having it with no crowd.” With the negative effects that the virus could cause, I believe it would be better if the Olympics was postponed for the safety of the audience and the Olympians. But the final decision is unknown , and Tokyo has not confirmed anything.
