We interviewed the second graders about their experience at Tanaka farms on Thursday, November 14, 2019. One of the questions we asked them was, what was the main thing they learned. Their response was they learned that it is good to have produce local to your homes. Their favorite part was picking pumpkins and lettuce. They even got to try some produce, like, onions, lettuce, parsley, and green beans. They especially loved the carrots and green beans. They got to see veggies, lots of grass, big tractors that they actually got to ride in, hay, lots of insects, birds, chickens, and some cool scarecrows. They even met a cool farmer, his name is Kenny. Overall, the second graders loved their trip to Tanaka Farms very much and really want to go back sometime!
