Over the weekend, I went to the top 2 ice cream shops in Orange County. I did a taste test to see which one tastes the best. Here are the results:

1. Handel’s Homemade Ice Cream: This place had a big inside and a small seating area outside. The menu had a wide variety of unique flavors. I decided to get the flavor Oreo-Dough (Oreo and cookie dough ice cream in one!) It was very good. I would rate it a 9 1/2 out of 10! I definitely recommend it!  However, the service wasn’t the best, there were only two workers. We asked a few questions and the workers were not able to answer them. Although, the workers were friendly and fast. I would rate the service a 7.

2. Cold Stone Creamery: This place was small and it was kind of a free-for-all when sitting. At Cold Stone, you pick out a flavor of ice cream and a topping, or you can pick a pre-made one. The menu includes both normal and unique ice cream flavors. I got the flavor Sweet Cream with Oreo’s (Sweet Vanilla ice cream with Oreo toppings!) It was AMAZING!!!!! I gave it a 9 3/4 out of 10. However, the line was long and I understand why. The workers knew what they were doing and were fast. I would rate the service an 8 1/2.

Overall, in my opinion, I believe that Cold Stone was better based on their ice cream and service. I still really like Handel’s, it is just in my opinion that Cold Stone was my favorite.
