Last Friday, on March 2 the elementary kids participated in Dr. Seuss day activities hosted by the middle school kids, primarily the zero waste students. The students in zero waste helped set up fun games and obstacle courses for elementary students including games they made themselves. They were also giving kids high fives and handing out zero waste stickers. All the students in the elective got into groups and created their own games. For example, A.J D., Chasen C., and Jacob R. came up with a game similar to games in arcades. Their game consisted of different goals made out of cardboard and a tennis ball that the kids would bounce into the goal. This game was very popular and many of the younger kids enjoyed it.

We went from grade to grade asking students about their costumes. We saw kids of many ages dresses up as characters like the Grinch and Thing 1 and Thing 2. We asked each student what their favorite Dr. Seuss book was and the book that came up most was Green Eggs and Ham. A lot of kids said they loved the activities set up by the green team.      Image result for dr.seuss
