We recently interviewed the 4th graders about their field trip to the San Juan Capistrano Mission. In October, they went there to get a realistic perspective on how a mission works. We asked them about some of their favorite parts of the trip, and how that can help them with their mission. That’s right! I said the 4th graders are creating a 22nd mission! Although it will not be built in real life, it is a wonderful hands-on alternative to textbook knowledge. 4th grade must create a mission that can support the lives of both humans and livestock, while arguing that their group’s mission should be the next. Oh yeah! They will have to present and convince an audience that their mission is the one that should make it. Super cool, right? What’s even cooler is the inside scoop! When interviewing  4th graders from Ms.Mease’s class, we got to know all about their trip to the mission. Here’s what Gwen Krater answered.
